Updating My Website

I'm changing the name and design of my blog. It will now become my author website and as of May 7th, 2013, Bloodgifted will officially become,

I tossed up renaming it after the series of books I'm writing - The Dantonville Legacy - but then, I read somewhere never to name your website after your books. After all, what if I decide to write another series after I've completed this one?

This is a big change for me, so I hope it doesn't lead to too much confusion. But, it's time for an upgrade, especially before my debut book is released.

If anyone's done something similar, please leave a comment as I'd love to know how it worked out.

Your website looks awesome as it is! I like it. It has moved from the realm of mere blog to author website. As such, it should change to to mark this change. I think people should get to know more about Tima the awesome author behind the Dantonville books. Go for the change!

I know this if off topic but I'm looking into starting my own weblog and was wondering what all is required to get setup? I'm assuming having a
blog like yours would cost a pretty penny? I'm not very internet smart so I'm not 100% sure. Any recommendations or advice would be greatly appreciated. Appreciate it

I would like to thank you for the efforts you have put in penning this blog.
I'm hoping to check out the same high-grade blog posts from you later on as well. In fact, your creative writing abilities has encouraged me to get my own, personal blog now ;)

Smart move I think. Like you say hopefully this won't be your last series of books and you can't just be " the author who wrote the Dantonville books" forever, not that that would be a bad thing to be known as! But who knows what you might write next, got to keep flexible.

Thanks Steve, and you make a good point. I think once a writer, always a writer as the mind keeps churning out new ideas. When I've completed this series, who knows? I'm sure I'll write a few more in the years ahead.

That is good advice to not name your blog after your books. I never really gave it that much thought, but it certainly makes sense. How are the new books coming along? Have you given any thought to releasing them in a boxed set or anything fancy like that? I would love a set!

Three years after I wrote this blog post I can see the sense in not naming my blog after my books, as I've now written three in the Dantonville Legacy Series, with a fourth due out Nov/Dec. this year. I'm waiting until the series is complete before I create a boxed set. But they're all available as either ebooks or paperbacks through Amazon if you're interested in purchasing them 😊
Thanks for your comment, Pete.
